I just wanted to remind everyone that we have a meeting on
Monday, March 30, 2009. We will begin at 6:00 Pm.
Everyone is welcome to attend!! Hope to see you there!!

Welcome Flying Nell's Foal!

We welcome Nellie's foal! So far this foal seems healthy, and very active! She loves for me to scratch her rump! She was born on March 17, 2009. I just realized that that was St. Partick's Day! We have not choosen a name yet, so if you have any ideas please let us know!! We would love for you to come visit, so give us a call and come on over!!
What a awsome God we serve!! He created these beautiful animals!!

Sheza Duchess foal

This is Duchess and her foal. Born on 3-13-09.This foal got really sick and died on 3-19-09.
We tried everything we could to save her, but she didn't make it. This is the 3rd foal Duchess has lost. I often wonder how the horses feel. I am sure they have some of the same feeling that we have. So I know her heart was broken!

Prayer needs

Yesterday was a busy day. While I was caring for a sick foal, Drew (my son) fell out of the hay loft, about a 12 foot fall, and broke his arm. We will be getting a cast on Wednesday. Please pray for Drew's arm to heal.
The foal that was born Friday 3/13 is very sick. I didn't expect her to live through the night! Thank Goodness she did. We are having to care for her around the clock. Please pray for her.

barn color

Here are a few pictures of the barn and stalls. There was a little misunderstanding about the barn color. We were going to stain it, but the color came out purple so we decided to paint it Green!! God is good.

PS Yes I do realize there are 2 of the same picture, but I am not sure how to remove 1???????

Revised mission statement

Thank you D.J. for helping with the revision of this statement.

Our Mission
Leap of Faith Horse Ministry exist to engage people , including thoses with disabilities, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the unique and enjoyable activities related to horses and horseback riding.

Our Five Core Values
We value...

Human souls
1 Every person's soul has value given by God. Therefore every soul counts and should be treated with dignity, respect, and great care. The most loving thing that can ever be done for a human's soul is for it to be redeemed through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Opportunities to encourage
2 In a world full of discouragement, it is our priority to lift people up, bring a smile to their face, and make their day a little brighter.

Refocusing people on their abilities verses their disabilities
3 Disabilities do exist. However, within every person is a tremendous amount of potential and giftedness given by God. Our desire is for people to become more familiar with what they can do given the right attitude, support, and environment.

Sharing our love of horses
4 We love horses and believe our passion for these beautiful animals God has created is contagious and beneficial to human beings.

Enjoyment of and care for horses
5 We believe we can show and share Christ's love through allowing people the unique opportunity of being around, caring for, learning about, and enjoying horses.
