Wow! I am sorry it has been so long since I updated this blog page!!

Jan 2011- We had a group of Home schoolers come visit the barn!! What great fun! We groomed the horses, talked about the stairway to heaven (the mounting block), rode the horses and over all had a great time!! :)
February 26, 2011- Post poned the movie at the barn ...( COLD weather!! )
March 5, 2011- We hosted our very first movie at the barn!! We watched the movie "Secretariat" in the barn!! Kids sat on hay bales, adults crowded around in lawn chairs, we popped pop corn, ate hot dogs, chips & drinks!! We had a great time!! We decided we WILL have another "movie at the barn" We all gathered even during the Thunderstorm!! Great memories!!
April 2011- Easter Egg Hunt!! We even had a visit from the Easter Bunny!! Following our Easter Egg hunt for the kids, we hosted MUD FEST for the youth & adults!!
May 2011- Hosted a Birthday Party!! Lots of Games, Horses & Fun!!
May 16, 2011- We welcomed Paul Daily of Wild Horse Ministries. WOW! And it was awesome!! We had about 150 people come to Leap of Faith Horse Minisrty. He shared the Gospel while training a 2 year old Thoroughbred filly. He related how the horse needs to trust us and how that all God wants us to do is trust Him!! June 2011- We have continued giving lessons & having fun in the sun!!

And We are having a meeting to plan the rest of the year!!

New ideas!!

Our meeting Monday night went well. We brainstormed & have great new ideas for the new year! Movie night in Jan., Barn dance in Feb., ...Easter celebration in March-April, Paul Daily to come in May... Pumpkin patch in October (We have to remember to plant pumpkins in May.) This year we plan to focus on awareness in our area. Letting others know we are here for God's glory & to shine the light on others! :)

November Meeting 2010

We will have a meeting on November 29 @ 6PM. This meeting is open to anyone who would like to help LOFHM develop into the program that God wants it to be!! We will be praying about what God wants us to do for 2011!! We will work on a calendar of events, NARHA certification, Cowboy church, and new ideas!

our visit to "MANE"

We are glad fall is approaching!! Thank you Jesus for the rain!!

Today, a few board members & I went to "MANE" Montgomery Area Nontraditional Equestrians. Thanks to Anne Alan Jemison for letting us "pick her brain". We enjoyed watching lessons, talking to her about NARHA workshop & certification, meeting the horses & seeing the sensory course. They will offer a NARHA workshop & certification in the spring. Another board member & I are planning to attend the certification.

Cowboy Church June 19, 2010

Here are a few pictures from the trail ride Cowboy Church. It was 100* this day!! (Next Trail ride will be in the fall or spring!!) Then a thunder appeared!! But we gathered in the barn & made the tack room a prayer room!! God always takes care of us! Thanks to Neal & the guys from Eastwood for playing music! Thanks to Deanna & Brandi & Micheal for preparing & getting the food together. Thanks to Slim for bringing our message!!

Fall 2010- Hello!

Hello! We are looking forward to the fall tempatures! It has been so warm, ok really HOT, we have not done much this summer. I am ready for cooler weather!!!

We have a meeting scheduled for August 30, 2010 @ 6:00 PM

COWBOY CHURCH is September 18, Supper @ 5:30PM!!

I will be working at the barn on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays. These days are open to participants & volunteers. We have horses to work, kids to love & ideas to create!! Please call me if you are interested...

Meeting -Cowboy Church Details!!

Hey Yal!! Cowboy Church will be June 19, 2010. Trail Ride starts @ 2:00PM. We will be riding 8 miles. 5:00 PM Hamburger & Hotdog, chips, drink & dessert, Supper ($5.00), Worship Band from Eastwood Baptist church, Guest speaker "Slim" David Dorcett. We are all so excited about this event!

During the meeting we discussed needing a cover for the arena. Some people that attend LOFHM are on medication that causes them to be sensitive to the heat & sun. So to make it more comfortable for them we would like to build a cover for the arena. That is our goal for this year.

We are selling Tee-shirts as a fundraiser. We will give you a shirt for donating or you can purchase them for $12.00 each.

Horse club meeting June 11, 2010- 6-8PM. this is for anyone interested in horses & learning more about them.

We have several Autistic people coming out to LOFHM. It is such great fun seeing the joy they get from just being around the horses.

Paul Daily has agreeded to come to LOFHM May 2011!! We are looking forward to watching him work with a "wild" horse.

God is AWESOME!! He is never changing & he provides everything we need!!
